"F**k up And Get The F**k Up"
Important post for those of us who have trouble smashing through the wall.
And yes, the swearing is f*cking necessary. Except for the one in that last sentence. Despite what society thinks, in the right context, swearing can be very inspiring, and is necessary to the purpose of this article. Sorry gents.
Anyway, here we go.

Gentlemen, we live in a time of decadence, despite what the newspapers will have you believe. Even in these failing economic times, despite what many will have you think(fear sells newspapers), we do not have the first idea of what real hardship is. Few of us will go hungry and few will go cold. At the end of the day, all we really need as humans is food, shelter and friendship. Beyond that lies the decadence to which we have become accustomed.
But beyond this, we also face another challenge. Emotional decadence. Not knowing what real hardship is, a lot of us have reverted to the emotional strategy of teenagers. Wallowing, or the tendency to react in sadness by indulging it. Despite the fact we know instinctively it's a bad idea, many of us are still knocked on our ass by it. This is probably the worst thing you can do.
So the next time you feel it, put the pint of Ben and Jerry's back in the fridge. Throw the covers off your bed. Rise to your feet.
Get The F**k Up.
Seriously. I've gone through enough depressive episodes in my lifetime to know this. The only way to fight back is to get up and do something. Otherwise, you just dig yourself a deeper hole. What could have been an hour long rut turns into a tunnel of despair that can stretch on for days. Trust me when I say you're doing yourself no favors by lying down and taking it.
Of course, by its nature depression will kill your idea-stream, so make sure to keep a list of stuff you can do(something productive is best) when you get down. Work out. Write(Don't worry about me, I'm not depressed as I write this). Organise stuff with some friends. Just DON'T lie down and take it.
Now, to my second point. Emotional decadence can take other forms. All too often, it rears its ugly head in the shape of fear. The problem is, a lot of the time the fear has no real bite, and you're running from nothing(I'm not saying get into fights here, use your common sense). The most common of these is the fear of messing up and failing. Maybe even the fear of looking stupid in front of others. Whenever you feel the fear start to take hold, there's one battle cry that encompasses the proper attitude towards failure.
F*ck Up.
Now, why is this the right attitude? Because sometimes failure is not just inconsequential, it's desirable. Every failed attempt at something is just another step on your road to success. Think of Donald Trump rebuilding himself from the ashes of the collapse of his first empire. Remember that famous Michael Jordan quote. Picture yourself learning to walk. Think of all the spills and hardship it took before you finally reached where you are today. You have fallen thousands of times, and if you're lucky, you will fall thousands more.
Just remember, every time you do, repeat step one above and Get The F*ck Up. Maybe, next time, you won't fall. And if you do, who cares. You've got your battle cry to get you through it.

I'll try to post more often from now on. You guys deserve it. Sorry if the article was a small bit sloppy.
